Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant Training Program provides graduates with the skills and knowledge that will enable them to qualify for entry-level positions as medical assistants. Provided that medical assistants are trained in both administrative and clinical procedures, students are capable of filling a variety of entry-level positions, including, but not limited to clinical or administrative assistant, medical receptionist, and medical insurance billing specialist. 

The Medical Assistant Program is a duration of six to nine months.

The $4,800 includes uniforms and books. A $250 deposit will be required at registration and the remaining balance can be made in payments up until graduation.

Class Hours:

Morning Classes: 9 AM to 1 PM.

Evening Classes: 5 PM to 9 PM

Course Requirements:

To be accepted, applicants for the Medical Assistant Program must:

• provide proof of completion of 8th Grade (transcript, diploma, home-schooling affidavit or other official documentation indicating completion of 8th grade or 8th-grade equivalent)
• provide proof of being at least 18 years of age (drivers license)
• not be listed as unemployable on the Employee Misconduct Registry (EMR) and
• not have been convicted of a criminal offense listed in the Texas Health and Safety Code §250.00
